The Windshield Wiper Linkage in your vehicle connects the Wiper Motor to the wiper-blade assembly. When the Wiper Linkage doesn't work, neither will your windshield wipers. Normally, wiper linkage assemblies do not fail. But if yours gets bent or damaged in some other way, it will cause your vehicle's wipers to move unevenly or not at all. At this point, you'll need to replace the wiper-linkage assembly. Replacement linkage assemblies can be purchased from most auto parts stores.
Pull the Windshield Wiper Arm up and away from the windshield until the wiper arms lock in a vertical position.
Unbolt the nut that holds the Wiper Arm to the wiper linkage using a socket wrench.
Pull the wiper arm off the wiper linkage.
Open the hood and locate the wiper motor on your vehicle. These are normally small, canister-shaped motors that are bolted to the firewall.
Unbolt the wiper motor from the firewall and slide the motor off of the wiper linkage.
Unbolt the wiper linkage to wiper linkage bracket using a socket wrench.
Remove the wiper linkage.
Install the new wiper linkage. Installation is the reverse of removal.
